He is absolutely terrified, I think. All of those people are so far out of his league. It's different with Boromir and Imrahil, it used to be different when he was just a child, but by now ... Luckily he has Oddberry! Imrahil wanted to meet her.

Favourable to the carpet I'm banned from using paint int the house anyway... The kitchen table still has paint ingrained it from the last time.

Btw. I've just had a lecture via zoom while my neighbors started renovating their bathroom with a... is hammer drill the right word? Loud. Very loud. Then a thunderstorm started, complete with hail. And I just started playing reggaeton because now I can't hear anything anymore anyway. Crazy day.

Oh, and add my bird to that, because she loves loud noises and happily screamed along.

That sounds delightfully chaotic. The question is, could everyone else hear it down your mic? We've been playing loads of Apex Legends throughout lockdown and one of my friend's father is renovating the stairs... The assorted drilling, banging and swearing is always a fun addition to the conversation and always seems to coincide with someone suggesting tactics XD

Sadly/ luckily no, but I recorded it for Boyfriend, who happend to be in the same session and wondered why I didn't unmute the mic. Without the music it would have driven me insane, with the music, yes, delightfully chaotic.

Yes. Not entirely out of my own free will, but, yes. I found her one day. She is a light yellow budgie, hates flying, hates other birds and bathing. She likes to destroy carrots, loud noises, bells and that one TV-show my mother always watches. She also is a better guard dog than my dog. ;D

Sadly. Definitely sadly that such beautiful chaos was not shared ;P

I don't like domesticated birds and never wanted one, but I found her and noone wanted her, so ... well, that happened. She is certainly ... unique. XD She'd make a good cartoon character.

I think in this situation it sounds like you are her domesticated human it always seems a bit odd to me, domesticating birds as to do so you have to stop them from flying free... which is quite sad

She certainly believes that we are the ones in the cage and she is the only one who's free ... XD

We (that is: a friend of mine who has always had budgies and me) have tried to make her fly in the appartment at least, but she doesn't want to. Physically she is fine, but she just seems to hate it. Maybe that's how her previous owner lost her and she's traumatised?

How did your cake turn out?

The cake was delicious in the end! I need to have a fiddle to get the consistency right... it was somehow moist, yet crumbly... I blame the pineapple. Pineapple in cake didn't work very well! XD i'll have to try again to make it perfect

Hm, yes, pineapple is very juicy. Maybe dried? But idea sounds so delicious, I have to give it a try myself!

It gave it a very strange consistency... I can't quite find the words to explain it. It think next time I'm going to soak dessicated pineapple in rum and put that in instead (I love having things in my cakes), and have the filling and buttercream pineapple based instead of malibu-based. Or maybe have it pineapple and malibu... hmmmm

I'm thinking, Hawaii Toast doesn't get super soggy. Maybe there is a way to avoid that for the cake as well. Or bake the cake and use the pineapple as filling afterwards? So many possibilities!

the moistness wasn't an issue, it was more, it just didn't want to stay a whole cake. It wanted to be chunks of cake I've honestly never come across it before so I can either blame the malibu or pineapple. Definitely going to use it as filling and decoration next time. I'll let you know how it goes ;P

I mean ... if it strongly identifies as chunks of cake, who are you to question it? I'll let you know! It might turn into a vegan version, since two of my best friends are vegan and one of them happens to be the best cook I've ever known. He might have ideas how to make that work.

I might also just drag Boyfriend into this. He can always be had for strange cooking and baking experiments. Last time we made a birthday cake for said friends and used pink and blue color made from the same bowl of blueberries for it. Chemistry!

I have an undying love for blueberries and it looked really awesome. The regional differences of preparing red cabbage gave us the idea. Because in the North they call it Blaukraut (blue kraut) and in the South Rotkraut (red kraut). Depending on how you prepare it, well, it turns out red or blue. That just happens to work with blueberries as well.
