Orkish and the Black Speech
Orkish
Orc and other dark creatures who serve Sauron communicate in a wide variety of sounds and gestures, as well as slurred and broken dialects borrowed from the different languages that they hear around them.
The Black Speech
The difference between the different languages spoken by different tribes and types of orc and other creatures had grown so big that they could no longer understand each other at all. Therefore Sauron saw it necessary to devise a common speech for them. The Black Speech is in part based on Valarin, but appears to borrow from other existing languages as well. To most ears it sounds tuneless, foul, hateful and simply unpleasant. Only the Nazgûl still speak it in its purest form. Many words and phrases have been integrated into newer forms of Orkish, however.
